keep in mind this project has been 6 years in the making.....so far...... and that all of the labor was done my me, myself and I, everything thats wrong is my fault ans some of the mods were eolutionary, the brakes for instance, I started by swapping to 77-78 readrdrums fomr a parts car taht I bought for $100 and sold more parts than that so I came out money ahead, then swapped to zx read disks using ebay bracksts and parts car parts again, and sold off more than the cost of the car again and later traded them off for a set of race tires, I then found a used set of outlaw vented front disks, sold them for a bit mroe than I paid, then I finally spent the bux on the willwoods, but I bought the hats and btackets months before buying the rest fo the parts so i wasn't out all the money at once and the JSK version is about $100 cheaper thant he AZC version, so I'm finally to the point of building what I want but most of the heavy expense has already been spent I will however be paying to have the car blasted, but I'll be doing my own paint and bodywork (which is scary because I'm not very goot at it)

I guess if I had all the money you spent on cars I would spend it on cars too. Wow. That should be a sweet drive. Are you happy with the way it handles? Of all the mods you did, what was the best value? Gord ps. more pictures please

the car handles great, I started with 440lb springs all around, and straight line traction was simply non existant, the reduced rear rate really helpedbest value overall, was buying a wrecked 280ZX Turbo for $450, that one swap netted nearly a 100 whp gain, and I sold parts off that zero's otu the cost of the donor

if you have spacers under your catriges you can section them, if not then sectioning them would make your inserts too long

I updated the list and added the part numbers, I got mine fomr CG when I ordered the coil overs, they will add the correct gland nut at no extra cost, the ones that come with those inserts will not fit the S30 strut housings

Thanks for the link for the strut sectioning--- I will be needing that very soon....I just have to work on the courage to chop that piece up. I didnt realize what it actually meant--- I thought it was something on the actual coilover, not on the stock piece that houses the strut.

measure twice, cut once! just take your time and make sure your cuts and welds are in the right place, and hey, you can always cut and weld more until it's right most peoplemake their cut at or near the perch, I make mine higher so if my alignment is off or the weld too deep I can get to it with a die grinderI didn't have to address mine but a bud has a set someone else welded and they are a little crooked and the strut is absolutely jammed in and thanks for the kind wrods greg, most fo the things I've learned about these cars left a scar

lonewilf sells fabbed intakes for $700, nice piece but I think they priced themselves out of the market for most people, turbo tubular headrs are a very sought after item for the L6, it's unusual to see them for under at all and then they are $800 or better, if you can undercut the market rices then I'm sure they'd sell, the problem is us S30 guys are spoiled with cheap parts so we're cheap

Yeah, that is the problem. Building intakes/exhaust manifolds for a certain crowd can be difficult. I sell the stuff I do for Z31's and some people think it is priced really high, but then others tell me that if I were smart, I would raise my prices. It seems as though I found a good middle ground for that crowd though. As for the S30 and 130's I could see it being difficult to compete since they have been around for a while and prices are stupid low on parts. I don't think I would be building regular tubular headers though, cause those are easy to get cheap. I would be building like log style turbo relocation manifolds and stainless tubular manifolds to relocate the turbo. It's a lot easier for the inline 6 rather than the v6 for obvious reasons. Either way, just an idea I was throwing around. Got any suggestions as to where to gauge interest? I would post here and on Hybrid Z, but other than that, I don't know many s30/130 sites.

Just looked at the Lone Wolf intakes. That is a really good deal for a manifold and a fuel rail! Does anyone know if that $700 price comes with the powder coating they show? Also does anyone have any pictures of the inside of the plenum? Do they do velocity stacks of any kind?

ah, a little sarcasm, sorry I missed itand when I said turbo tubular header I of course meant turbo exhaust manifold, and one that moves the turbo forward would be nice

running like a champ, I might be autocrossing it tomorrow weather dependant, my fuel issues were actually an over rich condition, I did a bit more datalogging and tuning and found I was only building 10 psi (keep in mind this is 10 psi form a 53 lb/min turbo and on an n/a engine) some additional tuning got me up to around 13psi I really need to get ti on a chassis dyno and get the spark curves refined
